Eco-Poetry Workshop with Poetry Pollinators

In celebration of the NEA Big Read, 2022 Santa Fe Reads

Please join Santa Fe's fifth poet laureate, Elizabeth Jacobson, for a free Big Read Eco poetry workshop. Partnering with Poetry Pollinators, this workshop will be held outdoors near the site of their bee hotel by the Santa Fe River at Alameda and Escondido.

In the case of rain, meet at the Main Library (145 Washington Ave / 87501)

This Eco poetry workshop begins outside as we journey inward, exploring language and how it can cultivate a deeper ecological awareness. Now more than ever it is important to take time for observation of the self and our inclusion and participation in the greater natural world. For this 60-minute poetry workshop, we will look closely at several poems, write from prompts, and share our thoughts and writing. Everyone is welcome! Please bring your favorite writing tools.
