This initiative is part of a larger effort to make Santa Fe’s libraries key community-driven hubs for professional and economic development.

Santa Fe Public Library and Office of Economic Development to Launch "Business Burrows" to Support Local Entrepreneurs

The Santa Fe Public Library, in partnership with the Santa Fe Office of Economic Development and Creative Startups, will be launching the "Business Burrows" – at each of the three library branches.

With so much information out there, finding the right support isn’t always easy. Just like a prairie dog burrow is a vast network of interconnected tunnels, the Business Burrows at the Santa Fe Public Library is a welcoming entry point to the network of people, resources and information you need to start and grow your business. No fees, no barriers—just a community ready to help you dig in and build your future.

Starting in Late April The Business Burrows Will Offer:

  • Business-related books and digital resources.
  • Laptop and Wi-Fi hotspot for home use.
  • Guide of local business support organizations.
  • Library staff trained to assist with business inquiries.
  • Workshops and networking events.
  • Connection to the city’s business development team.

Santa Fe Mayor Alan Webber highlighted the importance of this new initiative, stating:

By leveraging the Santa Fe Public Library's community presence with the OED's business expertise, we're providing entrepreneurs with a powerful, accessible resource. The Business Burrows program is designed to equip local businesses with the tools they need to thrive.

The Santa Fe Public Library enriches the community by providing access to diverse ideas, information, and lifelong learning opportunities. Honoring Santa Fe’s unique cultural heritage while preparing residents for the future, the library fosters education, reading, and discovery for all.
