Preventing falls is a life-saving strategy for older adults.

An aging body means a non-injury in your 40s would be far more severe in your 70s. Preventing falls for older adults is not an option but a life-saving strategy. Falls are the leading cause of death for our older community, and many can be prevented. Join Ann, Maria, and Katie to discuss falls and learn how to age without injury.

This workshop will help reduce fear of falling and increase activity levels, focusing on:

  • The importance of an exercise routine
  • The importance of speaking up and being assertive
  • Reviewing medications, hearing, and vision issues
  • Positive interaction with healthcare providers and family
  • Making the home environment safe
