Poetry Workshop with Santa Fe's Poet Laureate Ambassador Janna Lopez

 

How do people who find themselves on social fringes or margins find belonging through poetry? This will be a lively presentation and discussion about the power of poetry. Unique poems and structures presented, written by those with struggles and triumphs related to mental health issues, gender, class, ethnicity, religion, and physical limitations. A fascinating look into how poetry helps writers grapple, make meaning, and find connection points through humanity, creativity, and expression.
