Block Printing Workshop with Artist Erin Haldane

 

Intro to Block Printing & Holiday Cards
This workshop will go over the basic principles and tools needed for anyone to begin their journey with block printing. Through the lens of creating some holiday cheer, we’ll be covering basic design considerations, techniques to create your own patterns and images, and some tips and tricks for the carving process. From simple motifs to complex designs, block printing can be an extremely rewarding form of art making from start to finish. If you've never tried it before but have always wanted to learn, now's the time!

 

Bio:
Erin Haldane is a printmaker, painter, and illustrator who resides and works in Santa Fe. She has over 15 years experience as a working artist and has maintained a rigorous studio practice since receiving her B.F.A. in 2014. Erin is excited to be given the opportunity to share what she’s learned on her creative journey and hopes to inspire and encourage others to express themselves through art making.
