Mesas and Mountains Artist Reception

Mesas and Mountains, an exhibition of cut paper landscapes by Jordan Merlino, will be on exhibition at Southside Branch Library throughout the month of August.

Merlino notes, “This body of work is a celebration of New Mexico Mesas. I am originally from Baltimore, Maryland. I moved to Santa Fe in 2019, and I am still in awe over the land here. The land is absolutely beautiful, and I wanted to express my gratitude for the land through art. Creating these pieces has been very therapeutic for me. They have expanded my perception on form and repetition which is something I consider for my work now.”
