Join us for an entertaining book event with author Judith Fein and photographer Paul Ross, intrepid travel journalists who inspire others to try Slow Travel.

“It’s all there, right within reach, if you learn how to go off the beaten mental path,” says award-winning international travel journalist Judith Fein. "Slow travel is a whole other way to go. And even if you can’t travel, it’s a way to open doors and have adventures happen in your daily life.”

For two years, during the pandemic, Fein and her photojournalist husband Paul Ross, replaced international travel with a deep dive into the magic of their home state of New Mexico. They were on the qui vive, looking for unusual experiences and people that were good for mind, body, and soul.

Their new book, Slow Travel New Mexico: Unforgettable Personal Experiences in the Land of Enchantment, is an Amazon bestseller since its recent publication by UNM Press and was just named the BEST TRAVEL BOOK by the ARIZONA-NEW MEXICO BOOK AWARDS. It invites the reader to learn what slow travel is, gives tips on how to make every day of your life an experience, and provides information about how you can have each of these adventures yourself.

The event includes a lively talk and discussion with Judith, cowboy poetry by Paul Ross (aka PJ), and a book sale and personalized signing.
