Event Details
In this workshop, participants will have a chance to share their short stories aloud in a supportive group setting. Stories can include personal narratives, cuentos (local & regional folktales), legends, myths and lore. Original poems and flash fiction works can also be presented. Students are encouraged, though not required, to tell their stories without the use of notes. Other activities include a look back at the development of storytelling and folklore in New Mexico and one or two in-class writing activities. Participants are welcome even if they did not attend Storytelling Part I. For more information regarding the workshop and Part I class notes, email Christa at clgrimes@santafenm.gov or Gino at ginosgym@yahoo.com
