Program Description

Event Details

Come hear the rest of the Manhattan Project story, that of the many contributions women made that led to its success. Local Santa Fe residents Ruth and Bob Howes will present the often overlooked role that women played in the creation of the Atomic Bomb. Ruth Howes is a retired physics professor, and she authored a book about this topic, "Their Day in the Sun." She personally interviewed many of the women she wrote about.

Note: Santa Fe Public Library understands that this is not actually "the rest" of the Manhattan Project story. Stay tuned for several events coming to the Library to speak on the devastating impacts by the atomic bomb on generations of New Mexico's residents.
