Free to Write!
Inspiration to write or sketch can come from anywhere, but a little nudge is needed at times to jumpstart the creative juices. In this workshop, participants will write using prompts and mind-mapping as springboards for ideas. These strategies are designed to help jog memories and thoughts, and motivate students to create surprising and often unexpected drafts. Participants will listen to several short works written by nationally acclaimed writers and poets, and even sketch or doodle a bit.
Whether you write frequently, occasionally, or just want to reignite a long-lost interest in writing, this workshop is for you! Feel free to bring your own journals/sketchbooks. This class is the first in a series of writing workshops that will continue through the spring at La Farge Library.
Registration is required. The workshop is limited to 20 participants. You can register on our website or at: https://forms.gle/mhXuDNDcdpprSQYk6
