Youth Chess is a weekly chance for school age youth to continue to improve their critical thinking skills through the game of chess. While playing the game with other youth, new techniques, strategies, and tricks are introduced. This program is for youth of all ages who know the basic elements of chess and can play without aid.

A social storytime where parents can receive parenting information and chat with other young parents. This program is for parents and preschool children.  "A Grab-and-Go Kit will be offered to all attendees, courtesy of the Santa Fe Children's Museum!"

This program is in partnership with The Santa Fe Children's Museum and Growing Up New Mexico. 

This program is made possible by The Brindle Foundation, and through Building a National Network of Museums and Libraries for School Readiness, a cooperative Agreement with the Santa Fe Public Libraries and Institute of Museum and Library Services, and Boston Children’s Museum.
